joined Panzerregiment 1 in November 1938,
served during the Polish Campaign as aid of the commander of staff company I,
severely wounded in 1940, transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1,
served in 1942 at the officers training courses in Wünsdorf,
transferred in 1943 to France and managed the officer´s mess of Panzerregiment 25,
transferred with Panzerregiment 25 to the Eastern Front and served as a Feldwebel in the signals platoon,
Heinz Engelmann survived the war
