Born: 19.03.1913 in Elberfeld
joined Panzerregiment 1 in October 1935 and left active service as a Gefreiter der Reserve after two years of service,
pursued a career as a reserve officer,
was reactivated during mobilisation as a Feldwebel (OA) der Reserve and transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 11,
took part in the French campaign with the 5th Company of Panzer Regiment 11,
promoted to Leutnant der Reserve,
served in Panzerregiment 11 and on the staff of the 6th Panzer Division during the Russian campaign,
1945 Hauptmann der Reserve and regimental adjutant of Panzerregiment 11,
was taken prisoner by the Soviets at the end of the war and returned in the late 1940s,
was still alive in 1984.
