Langenbruch, Theodor

Born: 19.03.1913 in Elberfeld

  • joined Panzerregiment 1 in October 1935 and left active service as a Gefreiter der Reserve after two years of service,

  • pursued a career as a reserve officer,

  • was reactivated during mobilisation as a Feldwebel (OA) der Reserve and transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 11,

  • took part in the French campaign with the 5th Company of Panzer Regiment 11,

  • promoted to Leutnant der Reserve,

  • served in Panzerregiment 11 and on the staff of the 6th Panzer Division during the Russian campaign,

  • 1945 Hauptmann der Reserve and regimental adjutant of Panzerregiment 11,

  • was taken prisoner by the Soviets at the end of the war and returned in the late 1940s,

  • was still alive in 1984.
