Gotthold Wunderlich received his basic training with 2nd Company of Panzerersatzabteilung 1 in early 1940,
transferred to 7th Company of Panzerregiment 1 on 30.06.1940,
continued to serve with 7th Company until 1942,
Retraining on the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger,
served as Unteroffizier and panzer driver with 3rd Company of schwere Panzerabteilung 503 until the end of the war,
returned to his hometown in East Germany and worked as a baker,
