Robert Eichert joined the 8th Company of Panzerregiment 1 in October 1935,
pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,
transferred in October 1937 to the newly formed 6th Company of Panzerregiment 1,
transferred along with his company to the newly formed Panzerregiment 36 (8th Company) in November 1938,
served with Panzerregiment 36 in the Polish, French and Russian Campaigns,
changed into an officer career in 1943 (Leutnant 01.05.1943),
KIA on 23.09.1944 near Riga, last rank: Oberleutnant
