served with 1st Company of Panzerregiment 18 during the Russian Campaign,
hospital stay from 30.07.1941 (San-Kp. 625),
transferred to Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 243,
promoted to Unteroffizier,
was listed as MIA at Tiraspol in August 1944, obviously became a Soviet POW,
survived and settled after the war in his home town Rennertehausen
