Kock, Heinz

Born: 17.09.1918 in Lübeck

  • joined Panzerregiment 1 in November 1938,

  • served as a truck driver with the regimental staff during the Polish Campaign,

  • transferred to the staff of Panzerersatzabteilung 1 in November 1939,

  • transferred to the staff of the I. Abteilung of Panzerregiment 2 in November 1940,

  • experienced the Russian Campaign with Panzerregiment 2,

  • apparently belonged to that part of the regiment that was not encircled in Stalingrad,

  • further service with Panzerregiment 2 in France and on the Eastern Front after 1943, last rank: Unteroffizier,

  • Heinz Kock survived WWII and settled after 1945 in Lübeck
