Personnel Panzerregiment 1

While working on the book, we reviewed hundreds of military and civilian biographies. We encountered many names and faces in photos, albums or in personal accounts. There wasn't room to include everyone in the book. Therefore, we will introduce people to you, who are not mentioned in the book, in greater detail on this page.

Helmuth, Kurt

Born: 25.09.1915 in Erfurt joined Panzerregiment 1 on 01.10.1937, was not part of the regiment during the Polish and French Campaigns, transferred from Panzerersatzabteilung 1 to the newly formed 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in the summer of 1941, was serving as a gunner (Richtschütze), pursued the career of an Unteroffizier, transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1 on 08.12.1041, returned to his hometown Erfurt after WWII and worked as a confectioner.
