Born: 25.09.1915 in Erfurt

  • joined Panzerregiment 1 on 01.10.1937,

  • was not part of the regiment during the Polish and French Campaigns,

  • transferred from Panzerersatzabteilung 1 to the newly formed 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in the summer of 1941, was serving as a gunner (Richtschütze),

  • pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,

  • transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1 on 08.12.1041,

  • returned to his hometown Erfurt after WWII and worked as a confectioner.

 

Awards:

Panzer Assault Badge in Silver, Eastern Front Medal (1942)
