Born: 25.09.1915 in Erfurt

  • nothing is known about his pre-war service, he most likely served as a conscript with Panzerregiment 1 for two years ,

  • was reactivated in the course of mobilization and transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1,

  • transferred to the newly formed 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in the summer of 1941,

  • pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,

  • transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1 on 08.12.1041,

  • returned to his hometown Erfurt after WWII and worked as a confectioner.

 

Awards:

Panzer Assault Badge in Silver, Eastern Front Medal (1942)
