Born: 20.11.1915 in Wittingen

KIA: 15.08.1944 at Sczeglin (Poland)

 

  • Heinrich Peesel joined Panzerregiment 1 in October 1937,

  • served as Gefreiter with the 7th Company during the Polish Campaign,

  • transferred to the Headquarter Company of II. Abteilung, where he experienced the French and Russian Campaigns,

  • pursued an NCO career, promoted to Unteroffizier,

  • transferred to the 7th Company on 07.10.1942,

  • slightly wounded on 28.11.1942 while serving as a Feldwebel with the 7th Company,

  • KIA on 15.08.1944 (artillery shrapnel, heart), last rank: Feldwebel

EKII (1939/40), Black Wound Badge (1942), Panzer Assault Badge in Silver, Eastern Front Medal (1942)
