Born: 28.08.1914 in Bützow

KIA: 19.07.1943 near Stepanowka (Soviet Union)

 
  • joined the 6. Infanterie-Regiment in April 1934,

  • became a member of Infanterieregiment 46 and pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,

  • transferred to the 4th Company of Panzerregiment 1 in October 1937,

  • served as Unteroffizier with the 4th Company in the Polish and French Campaigns,

  • transferred in July 1940 to the 1st Company of Panzerabteilung A and shortly thereafter, to the 1st Company of Panzerregiment 18,

  • returned to the 4th Company of Panzerregiment 1 in December 1941,

  • transferred to the 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in March 1942 and shortly thereafter, to the newly formed Panzer-Abteilung 116 (4th Company),

  • KIA on 19.07.1943 near Stepanowka in the Soviet Union
