  • served at least from 1937 as an Unteroffizier and Feldwebel in the 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1,

  • during the Polish Campaign, he was commander of a Panzerkampfwagen III,

  • transferred in August 1940 to Panzerabteilung A and shortly thereafter, to the 1st Company of Panzerregiment 18,

  • at the beginning of the Russian Campaign, he served with the workshop company of Panzerregiment 18,

  • served in 1944 as Oberfeldwebel with the 3rd Company of Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 217,

  • further fate unknown,
