KIA: 20.11.1942 near Chalchuta (Kalmyk Steppe)

  • joined Panzerregiment 1 in November 1938,

  • served with the 5th Company during the Polish Campaign,

  • transferred in September1939 to the Headquarter company of II. Abteilung and experienced the French and Russian Campaigns,

  • transferred to the 6th Company on 05.03.1942,

  • transferred to the newly formed Panzerabteilung 116 on 10.04.1942,

  • KIA on 20.11.1942 near Chalchuta (infantry bullet in the head) , last rank: Unteroffizier
