  • joined Panzerregiment 1 after 1935 and left the military after his two years of service,

  • was reactivated in the course of mobilization in 1939,

  • is listed as an Obergefreiter in 1st Company Panzerersatzabteilung 1 in April 1940,

  • transferred to the new 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in late summer 1940,

  • served as driver of the commander´s panzer ("200") of 2nd Company at the beginning of the Russian Campaign,

  • is listed as an Unteroffizier in the 7th Company in 1942,

  • Fritz Lindenberg survived WWII and settled after 1945 in his hometown Erfurt
