joined Kraftfahrlehrkommando II Ohrdruf as a one-year-volunteer in November 1935,
transferred along with his Lehrtrupp to Panzerregiment 1 in October 1935,
pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,
served with the 3th Company during the Polish and French Campaigns,
transferred to 1st Company of Panzerabteilung A on 25.07.1940,
transferred as a Feldwebel to NCO-school Putlos on 28.04.1941,
returned to Panzerregiment 1 later in the war,
KIA on 20.11.1943, while serving with the 5th Company, last rank: Oberfeldwebel
